Alternate Pathway to National Merit Scholarship Program

Juniors

The College Board has created an Alternate Pathway for any Junior who is seeking recognition through the National Merit Scholarship Program. Those steps are listed below.

  • Step 1: Submit the Alternate Entry Form no later than April 1, 2021.

https://forms.nationalmerit.org/alternateentry

  • Step 2: Take an official administration of the SAT given from August 2020 to June 2021
  • Step 3: Request that the College Board SAT Program send an official report of your SAT scores to NMSC (code 0085). The SAT Program will not report your scores to NMSC unless you request it. You cannot use a photocopy of the score report sent to you or to your high school as a substitute for the official report.

Step 2 includes taking the SAT prior to June 2021.
