In this course, students will review the writing process as they further their skills in paragraph and essay writing. Such skills as brainstorming and writing organization will be reviewed. The course emphasizes basic grammar, vocabulary development, reading comprehension and analysis, and critical thinking skills. Work is accomplished through the use of selected readings, short novels, short stories, poetry, and selected videos. Small group and individualized help is stressed.
