These courses are for readers who are not yet proficient with high school reading materials. Developmental Reading helps students increase their reading speed, visual tracking and comprehension skills in preparation for more difficult material. Basic workbook skills, vocabulary, short stories and age appropriate materials are used to engage and motivate the reader. Writing skills are sharpened also, and preparation for the NJSLA is introduced.
