This course is for low-level readers who want to improve their speed, accuracy, and comprehension.  Low level/high interest materials are used, usually in short action-packed stories or novels.  Basic reading skills such as getting meaning from context, remembering what is read and making logical inferences are taught.  Visual accuracy skills, such as visual tracking and visual discrimination, are reviewed and practiced as is the most important rules of phonics and memory.  Very small groups and individualized help are stressed.
