Our Mission:
The mission of the Buildings and Grounds Department is to ensure that all district facilities are maintained and cleaned to the highest standards. By doing so, we strive to create and sustain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that fosters student learning and supports the educational goals of the district. Our efforts are focused on providing an environment that enhances the overall school experience for students, staff, and visitors, allowing for efficient and effective educational delivery.

Areas of Responsibility:
The Buildings and Grounds Department oversees the maintenance of essential building systems, including electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), roofing, flooring, wall surfaces, fire alarms, and fire suppression systems. We ensure that these systems are operational and in compliance with safety regulations.

Our custodial team provides daily cleaning and sanitation services to all schools and administrative offices, ensuring a hygienic and well-organized environment. This includes general cleaning, trash removal, restroom sanitation, floor care, and ensuring that common areas are maintained throughout the school day.

Groundskeeping responsibilities include regular lawn mowing, maintenance of athletic fields, landscaping, and the upkeep of parking lots, playgrounds, and outdoor areas. We also take proactive steps to ensure the safety of the school community during winter months by managing snow and ice removal across all campuses, ensuring safe walkways and parking areas.
